The Tocqueville Foundation is a French-American initiative founded by Jean-Guillaume de Tocqueville in 2009. It is an international grant-making, prize awarding and operating foundation, registered in France under the auspices of the Fondation Entreprendre.

Individual and collective success are two sides of the same medal.
The purpose of the Tocqueville Foundation is to contribute to the spread of Alexis de Tocqueville’s thinking, in particular on the fundamental role of civil society, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, philanthropy; essential conditions for the democratic and economic vitality of any society.
Vision
Democracy, social cohesion, education, health, the environment and economic development are common goods to be defended.
Mission
Stimulate synergies between stakeholders, however diverse they may be, in particular civil society resources, to produce a positive and sustainable societal impact.
