2025 Laureate
Alison Hill, CEO of LifeStraw
LifeStraw is a purpose-driven company whose mission is to ensure access to safe drinking water through innovative filtration technologies and a social commitment deeply rooted in its mission and corporate culture.
Born from a humanitarian partnership with The Carter Center to eradicate Guinea worm disease, LifeStraw has grown into a global brand serving travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, and households — while advancing health equity in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
The company reinvests a significant share of its revenues into humanitarian programs, with more than half of its staff dedicated to impact-related roles.
Through its Give Back Program, every product sold provides a child with one year of safe water. Since 2014, more than 11.8 million children have benefited from this initiative. Its School and Community Programs deliver long-term access to water and hygiene education, while its Emergency Response efforts bring immediate relief in times of crisis — from Gaza to Haiti to Ukraine.
Active in more than 64 countries, partnering with major international organizations, and having distributed over 40 million filters to help eradicate Guinea worm disease, LifeStraw stands as a powerful example of how entrepreneurship, innovation, and social responsibility can come together to make lasting change.
