2026 Laureate
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI)
Established in 2015 under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) is one of the world’s largest philanthropic organizations, dedicated to improving lives and creating lasting positive change.
Bringing together more than 30 initiatives and organizations under one common vision, MBRGI operates across five key areas: humanitarian aid, healthcare, education, innovation and entrepreneurship, and community empowerment.
Its impact is remarkable. In 2025 alone, MBRGI reached 165 million people across 122 countries, committing over US$626 million to its programs. Its initiatives range from providing emergency humanitarian relief and access to healthcare to expanding educational opportunities and supporting economic empowerment.
What makes MBRGI particularly distinctive is its approach to philanthropy. Rather than addressing challenges in isolation, it combines immediate humanitarian assistance with long-term investments in human development, tackling root causes, strengthening resilience and empowering communities to build sustainable futures.
Innovation is also at the heart of its collaborative model. By mobilizing governments, international institutions, businesses and philanthropists, MBRGI brings together expertise, resources and investment to develop solutions that can be replicated and scaled across different regions.
By combining extraordinary reach, innovative partnerships and a long-term vision, MBRGI demonstrates how philanthropy can become a powerful catalyst for systemic and lasting change.
Awarded by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco during the inaugural Monaco Summit on Philanthropy on October 12, 2026, the Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy recognizes MBRGI’s outstanding contribution to advancing effective, innovative and sustainable philanthropy.

LifeStraw is a purpose-driven company whose mission is to ensure access to safe drinking water through innovative filtration technologies and a social commitment deeply rooted in its mission and corporate culture.
Born from a humanitarian partnership with The Carter Center to eradicate Guinea worm disease, LifeStraw has grown into a global brand serving travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, and households — while advancing health equity in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
The company reinvests a significant share of its revenues into humanitarian programs, with more than half of its staff dedicated to impact-related roles.
Through its Give Back Program, every product sold provides a child with one year of safe water. Since 2014, more than 11.8 million children have benefited from this initiative. Its School and Community Programs deliver long-term access to water and hygiene education, while its Emergency Response efforts bring immediate relief in times of crisis — from Gaza to Haiti to Ukraine.
Active in more than 64 countries, partnering with major international organizations, and having distributed over 40 million filters to help eradicate Guinea worm disease, LifeStraw stands as a powerful example of how entrepreneurship, innovation, and social responsibility can come together to make lasting change.
